Painting on this warm tone of the exposed wood was a nice. The birch panel was prepared with two coats of Shellac to seal it and prepare it to accept paint.
Some of the trees and tree reflections are actually the wood grain showing through.
Beautiful winterscape...I suppose you wore gloves to finish the painting , brrrr.
